This is a rarely found antique teal ‘Whieldon ware’ earthenware water pitcher;
‘HURON’ by Frederick Winkle and Co., Ltd., c 1910
Whieldon ware was produced by Thomas Whieldon an English master potter who played a leading role in the development of Staffordshire pottery in the mid 18th century.
A stunning shape on this piece with a beautiful patterning applied throughout; on body of pitcher, neck, rim, spout and handle plus unique raised detailing, scalloped rim and spout, incredible shapely handle
