which is pencil signed by artist in the lower right; difficult to make out
Etching has the monogram of ‘SZL’ Sidney Z Lucas in the lower left corner along with the name of the location the artwork depicts: FERME A LIANCOURT (OISE), which is a farm
and cemetery in France
In the top right corner is written:
‘Copyright 1935 by Camilla Lucas NYC USA’ which was a wholesale art publishing house and retail art gallery founded by Sidney Lucas in 1928 that sold original etchings,
lithographs and paintings by Flemish and French artists who published their works under the banner of ‘Paris Etching Society’.
