‘Derwent Water’ is a lake in the Lake District in North West England, immediately south of Keswick. Literally ‘Derwent’ meaning ‘River with oak trees’ & this lake is known for its scenic hilly views & for fishing.

George Henry Downing was a British artist born in Portsmouth in 1878.
Known for his watercolour paintings of architecture, seascapes, cityscapes, and
landscapes.
